2024,09,13
お知らせThis month, the haihai group worked on the theme of “Water Play”.
A water play project for children are both fun and educational.
The children did several activites in relation with water play.
The “Dinosaur Bathing” water play activity that children did was a fun and engaging way to combine sensory play with a dinosaur and water. They were encouraged to touch, grasp, and interact with the dinosaur toys. They felt the texture of the brushes and gently used them to “wash” the dinosaurs, introducing playful and soothing touch sensations.
This activity not only makes bath time enjoyable but also provides sensory stimulation and encourages fine motor skills as the children interacts with the water and toys.
The next activity they did was “water balloon play”.
They were showed how to gently squeeze the water balloons to feel the water inside. The soft, squishy texture were very intriguing and soothing for them.
Engaged with the children by gently splashing water around and encouraged them to reach out and touch it.
This water balloon activity provides a safe, sensory-rich experience for children, allowing them to explore and enjoy the tactile sensations of water in a controlled environment.
They also played colored ice cubes, popsicle play, and painting activities. They explored the colorful ice cubes with their hands. The melting ice created a sensory experience as the colors mixed and changed. Aside from colored ice cubes, there’s also colored ice cube popsicles wherein they used as a painting material. They were allowed to explore the ice cubes on the paper. As the ice melts, it left colorful marks and they created different patterns and color mixes.
These activities provided a range of sensory experiences and creative play, that helped children explore textures, colors, and basic concepts in a fun and engaging way.
Another activity was “scoop and pour water play”.
Scoop and pour water play was a fantastic activity for them as it helped them to develop fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and sensory exploration.
This activity provides a fun and interactive way for the children to develop their motor skills, explore sensory experiences, and enjoy the tactile joy of playing with water.
Overall, water play supports multiple areas of a baby’s development, from sensory and motor skills to cognitive and social growth, while also providing an enjoyable and engaging experience.
Thank you!
